A city in the Netherlands just installed adorable LGBT traffic lights showing little gay couples happily crossing the street, Pink News reports.
Utrecht follows a number of European cities that also have done this recently, including Vienna, which made the same move in 2015 to show what an open-minded city they were.
Utrecht councilman Kees Geldorf says he hopes the signs will similarly show that it's a "many-sided city" and will "give cause for reflection [about how LGBT people are treated] while you are waiting for the lights to change."
Utrecht has historically been a very progressive city, having also previously put in a rainbow-colored crosswalk, which is now making me want to go to Utrecht because it seems like a wonderfully gay cartoon over there and I want to live in that.
